Textile designer

Job Accountabilities

  • Design Creation: Develop original textile designs or adapt existing designs to meet the requirements of our buyers and clients. Should be proficient in Adobe Photoshop.

  • Trend Research: Stay updated with the latest trends in fashion, textiles, colors, and patterns by conducting research making cads, /ppt.

  • Color and Material Selection: Choose appropriate colors and materials for textile designs based on market preferences, seasonal trends, and client specifications.

  • Pattern Development: Create patterns for textiles using computer-aided design (CAD) software or by hand drawing.

  • Sampling and Prototyping: Work closely with production teams to develop sample prototypes of textile designs.

  • Collaboration with Clients and Buyers: Communicate with Indus clients and buyers to understand their requirements, provide design presentations, and make adjustments to designs based on feedback.

  • Planning daily work with the team

 
Desired Skills and Experience

  • The candidate should have at least 3 to 4 years of experience preferably

  • Freshers who are highly talented,creative & passionate from NID or NIFT can apply too !

Merchandiser
 

As a merchandiser in Indus Exports, your responsibilities typically include:

1.    Product Development: Collaborating with designers and production teams to develop new textile products that meet the market demand and customer preferences. This involves understanding trends, sourcing appropriate materials, and ensuring quality standards are met.

2.    Order Management: Managing the entire order process from receiving customer inquiries to delivery. This includes negotiating prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with buyers, as well as ensuring timely production and shipment of orders.

​

3.    Sample Development: Coordinating the development and approval of product samples with both internal teams and external clients. This involves overseeing the sampling process to ensure that samples meet quality and design standards.

​

4.    Communication and Coordination: Serving as the primary point of contact between Indus Exports and it's clients, suppliers, and internal teams. This includes communicating order requirements, coordinating production schedules, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

​

5.    Market Research and Analysis: Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share.

​

Experience of 3-4 years in a reputed buying house.
